Guest Room & JCD Home Office Reveal!

I'm so excited to finally share the details of this space! (I know it was a long time coming, you can blame the NHL playoffs as a distraction of mine lol). I wanted to create a pretty, whimsical and chic space that made me feel super inspired when I walked in. I wanted a space where I could be creative and escape from a crazy toddler to get some work done #MomLife. This room had to function as a guest bedroom as well so I worked to keep the whole design cohesive. Scroll down to get all the pretty details including the info on my new print line with Toronto photographer Danielle Horvath featured in this space! Shop our prints here.

I was lucky to work with some awesome businesses to help bring my vision to life! The stunning lighting was supplied by Union Lighting and installed by Moore Electrique. I selected the gorge Paige Six Light Chandelier by Mitzi, a fun line that offers so many beautiful, whimsical fixtures. The entryway fixture is also by Mitzi, the Stella Semi-Flush Mount. I fell in love with the brass accents on both these fixtures and knew they would complete my space!

The walls were a darker grey when we moved in with white moulding. You know I love bright & white so I went with one of my favourite whites, Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. Check out my instagram for the before pics!

I love the cozy vibes this cream rug brings to the space. It's super soft for our guests to wake up to, I'm a little jealous to be honest! Shop my rug here.

This room wouldn't be complete without a little DIY! I knew I wanted a pop of pink (I mean, when don't I love a pop of pink?) so I immediately thought of a pink desk. I started scrolling Ikea for a paintable desk and landed on this one. I've been loving the dusty rose colour so after many samples from my local Benjamin Moore store and one coat of another colour I thought was "the one," I went with Titanic Rose and I am IN LOVE.

My second DIY stemmed from wanting to add a linen bulletin board to compliment my linen curtains...but the one I loved was over $300. I was able to recreate it for under $50! Stay tuned for that blog post with all the details!

Love the wall art? It's part of a new print line I launched with Toronto photographer Danielle Horvath! You can shop all 6 pieces here. They are high quality prints with several sizing and framing options available. I came up with a concept, obviously featuring a lot of pink LOL, then we sourced each item and Danielle shot and edited each piece so beautifully! It's fun and whimsical.

Pictured below is the 10x10 in the white wood frame. Pictured over the bed are the 8x10 print option that I framed myself. Shop now!

Let me know your favourite part of this makeover!
