There's nothing like a good holiday cocktail at Christmas time. Last year, I worked with Alchemist Alie to create a delicious cocktail that came in the JCD holiday box with some beautiful gold bar tools. It was a hit and they sold out so quick! Unfortunately The JCD Shop is closed until further notice due to our move to the U.S so I thought I'd offer this secret recipe to you all this year here on the blog! Read below for a yummy cocktail as well as a mocktail!
• The Holiday Sour •
1.5 oz amaretto
1 oz rosemary syrup (See recipe below)
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz cranberry juice
1 muddled clementine
1 egg white
3-5 drops of orange bitters
Cranberries & sprig of rosemary for garnish
Directions:
Segment clementine & add to your cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients to your cocktail shaker except the orange bitters. Muddle the clementine. Dry shake your cocktail shaker to create a foam. Add a scoop of ice then shake again until cold. Strain contents into a cocktail glass over ice. Scoop foam on top. Drizzle the orange bitters. Garnish with sugared cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
Rosemary Clove Syrup:
1 cup sugar
4-6 fresh rosemary sprigs
1 cup water
Directions:
Bring water to a boil. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Add the rosemary and boil for 60 sec. Remove from pan from heat and steep for 30 minutes-1 hour depending how strong of flavour you would like. Poor cooled syrup through mesh strainer and store in airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

This recipe I adapted from my mom's Christmas punch and it's always been a hit at Holiday parties!
• Christmas Punch •
1 can frozen orange juice
1 can frozen pink lemonade
2 cans of filtered water
~2 cups of Cranberry Juice (add more if taste calls for it)
~ half a litre of Cranberry gingerale (regular gingerale is fine if you can't find this version)
Garnish with frozen cranberries & sprigs of thyme or rosemary
This makes a large batch of punch usually served in a punch bowl. You can cut the recipe in half if making a pitcher size. Make it a traditional cocktail by adding your favourite spirit! I find vodka goes best with this but tequila and gin also work great. Skip the gingerale if you chose to add Prosecco!
Cheers & Happy Holidays!
